Ah, yes. Merely saying the name of this month aloud inspires
a long-suffering sigh of relief. Repeat after me: Maaaaarch.

celebrate all things warm and green after being blinded
by so much cold and white.

So Punxsutawney Phil saw his blasted shadow. Sigh. I suppose
when all is said and done, it doesn't really matter because
here in NW Ohio we're stuck with another six weeks of winter
regardless. You'd think we'd be used to it by now. But when
the temp hits fifty one day, then plummets to single digits
the next...well, let's just say that we're | | close to
showing up on our son Tony's Delray Beach doorstep and staying
for the duration.
But enough about the cold and snow. Let's talk about all

Greetings!
Don't know about you, but we are so ready for 2008. This
past year was a little...I guess strange about covers it.
While experiencing a growth spurt or two is normal (no,
we're not talking of the physical variety, although we could
dedicate twenty-trillion-thousand blog entries to that topic),
a nearly twelve-month journey through "Hmm" land
is a bit much even for the most self aware. We feel a bit
like Buddha after his 49 days of meditation...only without
having time to actually meditate, or achieving complete
enlightenment.
Then again, if we had achieved it we'd no longer be human,
would we? We'd be gods. And while Tony sometimes puffs out
his chest and takes his Greek god name of Adonis semi-seriously,
I don't think either one of us is interested in becoming
gods. Just think how mind bogglingly boring it would be
to know all, always.
We are, however, glad to have emerged from this most recent
record-breaking spurt, hopefully a little wiser...and a
whole helluva lot happier!
Happy New Year, everyone! Here's wishing you and yours health,
wealth, happiness, truth and light in 2008.
